A very dark brew from The Orkney Brewery, malty ,,at first it almost tasted smokey

Very smooth and light, very quaffable and yes I can smell the caramel 🙂 A 5.6% delight

Full and flavoursome. 🙂

This would go down nice on a hot n sunny beach 🙂 pity it’s brewed under licence in the uk I think I’ll need to find an import to compare properly !

Thumbing through the book and realised that I sampled this nice White ale in New York

Hmm not sure of Old Thumper and Old Thumper extra special ale are the same !!!

Reminded me of a slightly burnt caramel flavour but the tasting notes say coffee n chocolate ?
